Monchrome Monday

Cannons at Antietam, one of the major battles of the American Civil War, 1861-1865. Today is Memorial Day in the U.S. and all veterans who have served in the Armed Forces are honored and remembered.

    But I have to say that I really hate weapons of all kinds, no matter how artistic they look :(

  4. Cannons make beautyful pictures as soon as they become useless..The sepia gives a mood that matches very well with the memory of the American Civil War. (here, we call it the Secession War).

  12. Very nice! I like the closeup! We have a couple cannons near the Military Reserve here in town that high school students built as replicas of ones used in our history. I never thought about taking a photo of them from an angle like you did -- thanks!
