Reading on the Charles

Picture I took last month on the Charles River Esplanade when the trees were first starting to bud.

  8. A wonderful bench, under a protecting tree, a man quietly reading a book, on the water behind a boat is slowly sailing..Many of the things I love take place in this scenery.;Great picture!
    PS: I agree with you, Philip S. Hoffman is one of the greatest actors I know. And R. Ifans is still ..like he is!:-)))

  9. Even in a B-town spring, this shot looks comfortingly warm. Agreed, wonderful composition. That shadow makes it!

  10. I think one of the things that makes this shot so engaging is the fact that there are very few straight lines, and those that are there are softened. This image is mostly about soft curves, they repeat over and over, and there is something truly comforting in them, like the hug of a dear one, or the soft lap of water on the shore.
