This week's doorway is Two International Place. It is a magnificent building and has some of the best looking lanterns in the city, reminiscent of the ones on the Boston Public Library building.
That's beautiful. I love the shade of blue. I've been looking at reflections in buildings in NYC the past week. Home now, and we don't have so many builidings that reflect out here in the West!
Ha ha....I don't usually use my glasses, altho I probably should. I this case I read in your post that this building has the best looking INTERNS, as did the library. I'm thinking....hmmmm....interestiing comment. Good thing I looked again....
Crickey it's Wednesday! Thanks for reminding me, I was stuck on Tuesday until just now! This is so beautiful, the lanterns almost Dickensian (too big maybe)and the fabulous reflection like opening an avenue.
Truly a grand facade. I love the reflective quality of the door frame and how you've composed this with those delicate trees in front of the frame. Really fine shot.
Hi Clueless, as for the bright green on the pilings in Astoria, all I can say is they keep me surprised, too. They've been sooooo green this year and in the photo (from a couple of years ago but the same season). I wonder if it's seasonal, and I'm going to be keeping an eye out this year! They probably haven't dried out since last summer!

ReplyDeleteI like the combination of stone blocks and glass here, especially since they echo each others shapes. And you're right about the lamps — fantastic.
