What a strange architecture..Columns , bricks, different colors and materials, it seems this house was made by different architectes that did not agree together! It makes the picture very interesting.
This is a superb photo - works in all kinds of ways...the doorway is special; the building magnificent (I'll bet expensive!), the composition, angled the way it is carries a hint of suspense, and workman on the ladder ties the whole thing together...
Please note that you are the very first recipient of the new Pixel Perfect Award.
Do not panic. This is a new award of Jacob and Lois Anne at Ocala Daily Photo.
It is awarded to those who exhibit "exceptional photographic skills in terms of artistic creativity, composition, sharpness, and exposure."
We believe you are an exemplary photographer, who consistently exhibits those photographic skills!
Please do NOT hand this on. You should go to Ocala Daily Photo (http://ocaladailyphoto.blogspot.com) and read the description in the sidebar. Copy and paste the award into your sidebar, and link the award back to Ocala DP.
That's it!
Well, except if you know a blog you believe deserves this award, please let Jacob know at Ocala DP.
The award will be given out very sparingly and infrequently.
This looks like an archeological dig (at first blush). The doorway is pretty, despite its being renovated. Like many women of "a certain age", true beauty and good bones are always apparent, despite cosmetic work...
What interesting architecture. Nice photo angle, too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, elegant building. You live in a beautiful city!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful building, the human presence gives us the right proportion.

ReplyDeleteLove the column and window detail in this and the man at work element to it.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many layers of paint he is removing.

Magnificent building! The windows are gorgeous and I love those columns.
ReplyDeleteThis is very special mix of styles!
ReplyDeleteSimply perfect shot. It's a beautiful, grand door but the ladder and painter in action gives it such a living feel!
ReplyDeleteMagnificent doorway! Congratulations for this perfect shot!
ReplyDeleteLéia :-)
