Monochrome Monday

Ship rigging from one of the tall ships in Boston as part of the Tall Ship Atlantic Challenge 2009. The ships leave Boston today heading for Halifax, Nova Scotia and then on to Belfast, No. Irl. Come back tomorrow for a little more of the tall ships and a special celebration.

  8. Great shot. What a treat to get to see the tall ships so up close and personal.

I remember having tickets to watch them sail by NYC for the Bicentennial back in 1976.

  14. I love old ships, and I'm impatient about what you'll show us!
Black and white matches very well with old ropes, pulleys, and wooden floors.I can hear the boat creaking from here! how delicious!

  15. We were also part of the "Atlantic Challenge". On June 11-15, the Tall Ships were in Hamilton to celebrate Bermuda's 400 years of permanent settlement. Nice photo.

  18. A perfect subject for Boston. This photo would look great on a promotional brochure for your city. And that hydrangea bloom on Sunday is truly a visual feast. And just why do you call yourself "clueless?"

  24. O, what tangled webs we weave
To sail away on ocean breeze
O, what knots we must achieve
To live our dream upon the seas.

This is a fine photography, Clueless.
