The signature suspension bridge over the middle of the pond in the Public Garden was erected in 1869. It has been called the world's smallest suspension bridge.
It's a small suspension bridge but also cute! This Garden is outstanding, I loved the reflection on the lake! Have a beautiful Sunday dear friend Léia :)
I have always loved that bridge. I can remember it when I was a little girl on the swan boats. I remember seeing it when I was a teenager and I would go to the garden to contemplate the mystery's of life. And, the last time I saw it my mother wanted to take a trip down memory lane and so we walked all of her old haunts from when she was a young single woman living in the city.
I obviously didn't know about it, so this is a wonderful surprise: a tiny suspension bridge in a park! I have to learn more about this structure, very interesting post and nice shot.
Okay, Clueless - this is one of your best shots ... frame it and hang it. Bring it to the Chamber of Commerce. Sell it to Conde Nast Travel magazine. It's that good. Everything works perfectly!
That's a lovely little bridge!

ReplyDeleteCute! And the park looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSmall, but perfectly formed... I do like the multi-coloured trees as a back drop. The image is beautifully composed.
