All the leaves have fallen off the trees after a soaking rain, so I thought I would post a last glimpse of glorious Autumn leaves from last week's trip to Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
Both great shots and, for once, I can't say which I like more. Our leaves are always a monotonous plain yellow, so please allow me a bit of envy for these spectacular colors!
The Fall colors are so beautiful in Boston, you are lucky to enjoy them every year!! In France we mostly get from green to yellow/bownish to nothing, but it's fun to find some trees with nicer colors...
It's remarkable, isn't it, how the world can be transformed overnight from those glorious colors radiant in the sunlight, to a mosaic of leaves on the ground.
What a beautiful cemetery setting. It looks like the proper New England burial place...very nice!! With pretty grass and trees. Tampa's cemeteries have to fight the lack of water and very dry conditions. It makes it tough to keep them looking green and inviting.
I'm enchanted by this first shot, it's really charming and perfect! Please dear friend, forgive my absence and thanks so much for your always kind words in my blog. I miss your posts and I'm very happy to be here visiting your blog! Have a nice week! Léia
sigh - so beautiful. One thing for sure, it is TOTALLY different from autumn in So Cal, even if we do have a few Japanese maples and such.
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I keep talking about one day doing a Fall trip to the US; just love the saturated colours.
