A symbol: the modern building is already slowly disappearing, meanwhile the old church is still there, since years and years... I love the melancholic mood of this picture.
You have no idea how your photos of this area bring back the memories for me...so many days that I walked down that particular street to catch the T to take me to the Forsyth...long before the MFA even thought about buying it.
Nice angle!
ReplyDeleteNot a nice day!
ReplyDeleteI imagine that the church steeple looks better with the skyscraper behind it obscured by fog.

Like the perspective. The mist in the background helps the old spire to stand out, without it it might have got a little lost in the new building.
ReplyDeleteThis picture is soooo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI liked the tower and the fog around, a mystery feeling in all!
Léia :)
I wonder why most Monday's look like this?
ReplyDeleteLove the shot and as others have said it so works with the fog - a beautiful old church.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so amazing and eerie! Fantastic capture.

ReplyDeleteThe mood is captured perfectly in black and white!
ReplyDeleteanother great monochrome image. i am afraid I have not yet developed a good monochrome eye. you have quite the talent for this effect
ReplyDeleteIt has the fog wrapped around it like a filmy cloak.
ReplyDeleteWonderful. Puts the church into a smaller city.
ReplyDeleteThe fog together with the white sky gives this photo the special twist.
ReplyDeleteThe fog makes this photo even more attractive.
