    He's one of those who helped your country to arise. He seems to be still walking proudly, leaving in the trail behind him what has be created thanks to him..

    Well shot; the line of the tulips, from right to left and then the skyline up to Washington from left to right makes a strong shape and seems to give some 'motion' to the statue. He was also a good general.

    They say if a horse statue shows one front leg lifted, the rider was wounded in battle - but I don't know if that's true.
