  3. Well shot; the line of the tulips, from right to left and then the skyline up to Washington from left to right makes a strong shape and seems to give some 'motion' to the statue. He was also a good general.

  16. They say if a horse statue shows one front leg lifted, the rider was wounded in battle - but I don't know if that's true.
