I met this woman last month as she was painting near (but not) the George Washington statue. I didn't get her name, but she did tell me she exhibits in Provincetown on Cape Cod, and in Maine.
Excellent shot. This is a case where the photograph of the artist may make more of an impression than the art itself (at least in this unfinished stage).
The photo is a piece of art by itself. And the truth is I envy the lady's activity :-))
ReplyDeleteI too enjoy painting from nature, I doubt that I could do it in a public place. I would find it difficult to concentrate over the noise of laughter.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, timeless shot.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if I'd like her painting more once finished than I do now.
Your picture could be a painting too.. A poetic moment, captured with beautyful colors..
ReplyDeleteI really like your shot, but I can't say the same for the painting.
ReplyDeleteAdorable capture!
ReplyDeleteLéia :)
Seems like a wonderful way to spend the day.

Well done. There's something about seeing an artist painting outdoors that's inviting to me.
ReplyDeleteShe looks the part.
ReplyDeleteDoes the art?
You got to see. Looks awfully small to me.
Excellent shot. This is a case where the photograph of the artist may make more of an impression than the art itself (at least in this unfinished stage).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot !
ReplyDeleteI would love to have her hat!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture! My favorite scenes are of painters painting. Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the hat; it makes this shot for me.
ReplyDeleteAlways fascinating to see artists at work. Nice scene.
ReplyDeleteWould not be the same without the hat!!
