Fabulous street photo! Interesting use of monochrome too as I can just imagine all of the bright colours.
The B&W makes the picture strong, like a "reportage atmosphere" ,to your photo.I'm sure those guys were never pictured while working.

It's really good to capture these 'ordinary special' moments. A classic of its kind. I suppose all that manpower is better than lots of heavy machinery on a narrow city street.
