I can feel the frustration of the owner who discarded it.<br /><br />Julie and I were in New York City a few years ago on a January weekend with rain and very high winds. As we walked back to our hotel from the theater, we passed dozens of discarded umbrellas, and we still refer to our trip as the New York visit with "the night of the broken umbrellas."<br /><br />Thank you for your new year's greeting on my site, and I extend my best wishes to you and yours.
