We're Monochrome neighbors this week and I just thought I'd drop by to borrow a cup of visual stimulation. I'm amazed at how warm the color photo appears and how cool and nightlike the black and white appears!
your monochrome shots are always epic. Thanks for all of your comments on my site while we were away on the solar eclipse tour. We appreciate your words. I am enjoying catching up on everyone's photos. I love the color version of today's photo also, and the earlier train station monochrome. We also finally got our travel website officially launched so it is not open at www.vivalavoyage.com or it can be accessed through the link on my website. I hope things are well. Enjoy!
I don't believe this! I hadn't even noticed the cinquième saison on the colour one! I'm probably going colour blind. I don't know which one I prefer, they both have a very different atmosphere.
I like how you frame your awesome shots. This photo I want to go into and study closer - it catches my interest :) I also had a look at the coloured version. Thanks for visiting!
There is something very European in that view. Lovely place for an evening walk. You are right - the colors of the evening are gorgeous, but looks very well in mono too
Great shot!
ReplyDeleteI thught I recognised the photo! One I loved in colour and is equally fascinating in B and W.
ReplyDeleteGreat atmosphere in that shot, in my opinion better in b&w than in colours.. But great shots both of them;-)
ReplyDeleteI side with Dan: They are both nice photos, but the b & w gave me the most, personally.
ReplyDeleteThe sign causes a curious optical effect in B&W - makes one look harder.
ReplyDelete...and the colour pic is a cracker. Really fine.
ReplyDeleteFor once, I prefer the colour version; It brings a little more heat, it has a more summer mood.
ReplyDeleteIt does appear bevelled in the b&w and not so in the colour. Interesting shooting.
ReplyDeleteI love this image in b&w. It has a timeless feel where the color shot (which I also loved) really felt contemporary.
ReplyDeleteI like the sharp nean sign in the color version, but I prefer the B & W overall. Great shot!

Each one conveys a different feel. Hard to say which I prefer.
ReplyDeleteIt almost looks like it could have been taken a long time ago!

ReplyDeleteI love Boston .. this is such a perfect shot
ReplyDeleteI like this short as looks like you stepped back in time and gone to Paris in the 1950's. As always a great shot of a everyday scene.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments on my blog as it means alot coming from you.

The b&w has created such an old-fashioned street scene look.

ReplyDeleteoh very nice I love the curve in the view...
ReplyDeleteI really like it in B&W, looks old worldly. :-)
ReplyDeletelike the cinematic feel to this one. especially the light on the shop's name
ReplyDeleteI like both mono/colour....
ReplyDeleteI think the sign is amazing in mono 3D effect. super image...:-)
