John Hancock

This is the headquarters of the John Hancock Insurance Co. in Boston. Their previous building was the 62 story tower in the Back Bay on Clarendon St. You can see the 62 story glass tower and the original Hancock building in this 2008 picture. Hancock sold the tower in 2004 and downsized to this new building on Congress St. in the Seaport District. More from the Boston Globe.

And hopefully the glass will stay in place this time. Nice image in b/w.

Really! I didn't know that. At least they have stayed in an architecturally interesting building.

Your blog is filled with surprises for those of us who once resided in Boston, but have since moved. Who would have "thunk" the namesake for the John Hancock Tower had departed the scene! Thanks for all the updates and photos!

This was my second time attending an event at this place, and was my first business event here (the other event was a charity show). Everything at venues Los Angeles was perfect, the drinks and food was amazing. Even the coffee was wonderful.
