Vanishing Point

This is part of the Christian Science Center Complex. I like the sense of perspective it gives and also the intimation that one is looking into a mirror and seeing endless reflections. If you enlarge the image you will see a little bit of the back of the Church's Romanesque Basilica, which I showed in an earlier post here.

Wonderful shot! When did you take it? I was there on 6/16 at noon, bad time for pix but I managed to get a few ok shots. Got one of the outer side of this gallery (yours is 100 times more interesting). And the same day I took some photos of the Northeastern University and, guess what, I took one of the decorated crosswalk, as you did! Looks like we are in sync! :D

I think this picture was made on 7/29; and you are right, we seem to be in sync. :) I was in Chinatown 7/26 taking pictures of the sights and had one just like you of the Chinatown gate. That was a nice series on Chinatown with interesting commentary.

I forgot to mention the most important thing you wanted to know - the time I took the picture. I think it was about 3:00 or 3:30pm.

I shot the Chinatown gate on 7/4 at 1:39 PM. Can't wait to see your Chinatown photos!

I'll try to get to the CSC early in the morning one of these days and see what happens. I've seen beautiful photos of it where the shadows play a major role.

My goodness, that's one of the neatest perspective shots I've seen.
