January 1, 2009 - Theme Day: Best Photo of 2008

I took this photo outside the newly opened Fenway entrance of the Museum of Fine Arts. Today's theme is Best photo of the year 2008; while I don't think this is my best work, it is one of my favorites.

That must be one heck of a great telephoto lens because the little boy looks so close up. (Well, even Hubby didn't understand the joke. Oh well...)

Happy New Year.

That is a delightful choice and I love the scale and composition and contrast of b&w / child and child head. But, this is the one I fell in love with most:

I love your architectural detail shots, too, and when you capture old and new elements of Boston in the same frame.
I hope 2009 holds wonderful things for you and that you and your camera find lots more stunning compositions and scenes to show us! Best to you,

It's obvious why this is your favorite...it is quite unusual. Initially, I found it a bit startling, but it definitely is an eye-catching subject. The uniformity of the pillars in the background adds interest.
