Public Garden Suspension Bridge

The signature suspension bridge over the middle of the pond in the Public Garden was erected in 1869. It has been called the world's smallest suspension bridge.

I have always loved that bridge. I can remember it when I was a little girl on the swan boats. I remember seeing it when I was a teenager and I would go to the garden to contemplate the mystery's of life. And, the last time I saw it my mother wanted to take a trip down memory lane and so we walked all of her old haunts from when she was a young single woman living in the city.

I don't quite know why but this looks very British to me. It's a lovely invitation for a Sunday stroll!

Small, but perfectly formed... I do like the multi-coloured trees as a back drop. The image is beautifully composed.

Little is beautiful? Sometimes,
if the photographer is good.
Wonderful postcard autumn.

I obviously didn't know about it, so this is a wonderful surprise: a tiny suspension bridge in a park! I have to learn more about this structure, very interesting post and nice shot.

Okay, Clueless - this is one of your best shots ... frame it and hang it. Bring it to the Chamber of Commerce. Sell it to Conde Nast Travel magazine. It's that good. Everything works perfectly!

It certainly is a pretty bridge! I would love to walk over that one.

Looks like a very bucolic place during Summer evenings...

To what shall I compare this life of ours?
Even before I can say it is like a lightning flash or a dewdrop,
it is no more. -Gibon Sengai (1750-1837)
