Beth Uptegrove

I met Beth outside the Boston Public Library on Saturday. She was taking photos and like everyone else in Boston enjoying the unseasonably warm weather. Beth was very friendly and quick to smile, as you can see. She said she designs displays for the Harvard Coop Bookstore in Cambridge and was looking for a photo of Boston to use in a display she is planning. Beth said she previously worked as a photo stylist before her present job.

This photo is one of my 100 Strangers series and also my weekly entry for Monochrome Monday.

An excellent entry for both the b&w and 100 strangers. She seems comfortable with herself and where she is in the world. Thank you for introducing her to us.

Fabulous portrait. Looks like you captured in 'her' moment.

Isn't it good how photography brings people together - a camera is nearly as good as a dog as a means of striking up a conversation! She looks a lady with lots of zest for life.

«Louis» is ROTFLHAO over your comment about Gary Hart and "Monkey Business" at Ft. Lauderdale DP!

You obviously had a great rapport with this lady. What a great smile and what a giving person she appears to be.

Isn't it fun taking photos of strangers and getting to know them a little. I have been completely addicted to that for a few years now.

This is a fine portrait of Beth.

The World IS getting smaller! On a whim, I googled the name of my New Jersey HS Junior Prom date of some 40 years ago and there in black and white is a two week old photograph of her. The years have been kind indeed.
