City Hall

I've previously posted pictures of City Hall seven times. You can see them here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. Even though I find the building ugly, and have said so many times, I still seem drawn to it as a subject. Of course, part of the reason may be, it is so massive it is impossible to overlook.

Yes, rather ugly modernism in a lovely old city; probably more of a wide-angle mono subject.

It does seem a little top heavy!

The consensus about City Hall these days seems to be highly critical, but I still like it. DESPITE hating the wasteland of the surrounding plaza and DESPITE hating just about all other examples of Brutalism.

It does look better against that blue sky. We have a building that is uglier by far than yours and it is a government building...

"The ugliest building in the world' is a wee bit harsh, yes I'll agree it's not pretty, although some of the angles you've taken it from don't look so bad at all, I think you keep going back to see if 'in your eyes' you can make it look more attractive haha! I'm so curious as to what it looks like inside.

Yes, an ugly building indeed but its made worse, in my opinion, by the huge brick plaza.

Not particularly attractive, but it is instantly recognizable as a part of Boston's city scape due to its longevity. I personally don't care for the T station that grows out of all of that brick.

Perhaps the black Darth Vader building downtown (Boylston Street?) is more out of place....????
