Very beautiful shot! I love the blue sky bokeh on either side of the pole and alarm box. The red and blue look so nice together. Your lovely sunlight has made shadows of the relief designs on the box and everything is so sharp, its like being there.
When you were a kid, did you ever want to pull one of these? :-)

I sure wanted to pull one when I was a kid...heck, I still think about it from time to time. This is a terrific shot. You have taken an ordinary object and transformed it into a little gem, helping us to stop, look, and wonder.

This is a "vintage one" indeed!
I 've seen it only in films.Nice to know this kind of fire alarm still is used .
God bless you
Léia :-)

That's a new one to me! Maybe it's for the squirrels? But, heh, whatever works!

Nice shot.

very nice composition of an interesting subject. One that I have rarely seen. I am glad you enjoyed the Scottsdale Art Walk photos on my site. And, I am glad you liked the bunny cactus on my site today! We all share such different and interesting posts in a day. It is fun to go through the photos.

At first sight, I thought it was a letter box! It must be an ancient fire alarm? Anyway, what beautyful colors in a very simple thing!..

Wow.....This brings me back. They used to be on every corner when I was a child. I didn't think there were any left in operation.

I'm surprised in this technological age, they still have these.
