Monochrome Monday

This week's Monochrome Monday entry is different a view of the Old State House on State Street. I posted a view of this famous building from the other side yesterday. The benches leading your eye to the Old State House are brand new and made of mahogany and are quite elegant. In the background you can see the Custom House Tower peeking through the buildings on either side.

Elegant indeed - and I find there is something haunting about this image. Very striking.

This is excellent...with the curve of that bench leading the eye directly to the Old State House. Nicely done.

I like how the curve of the bench catches the eyes and drive them to the Old State House. This bench is fabulous, the curve makes it seem to be alive.. (and I love this name, "mahogany"...) and this part of your town seems really interesting!

Love the composition and lines of this one. And you can clearly see how the Old Court House stands out among its more recent neighbors.

Very nice composition! Just makes me want to pick up a pencil and start sketching it :)

Isn't it amazing how an everyday scene can be transformed so dramatically by the right composition and in this case I think monochrome adds tremendously to the charm of the pic.

Very classy shot! I can't help noticing though that no one is sitting on the new benches - or did you wait till they had left? :)

Very striking! I'm surprised to see such nice benches out there. I love how they lead up to the house tower :)
