Boston Common at Night

This is a view of Boston Common from Beacon Street looking towards the Park Street Church (spire in the background). This photo is due to the prompting of Chuck in Seattle who asked for a winter picture of Park Street. I couldn't post the same scene, so I settled on one that shows some of the Holiday lights on the Common trees and "sort of, almost" satisfies Chuck's request.

Snow and lights turn simple places into fairy sceneries..The kind that makes me dream!

The aqua lights made it look like a river in the thumbnail. Pretty but it must be very, very cold — no people!

I didn't make the request but I'm utterly satisfied with this wonderful image.

I'd say it fills the bill.

Tulsa's Christmas lights are going down. They are pretty and a delight for children but I am ready for them to be put away. In the well to do neighborhoods the houses seem to compete with each other and the displays are professionally done, mainly by lawn care people looking for something to do in the winter. It is entertaining but some how misses the point for me. Thus spake Scrooge - harummpf!
