Monochrome Monday + Theme Day: Wood

Today is Monochrome Monday and so it is also the first day of the month which is theme day for City Daily Photo Blogs (CDPB) around the world. My contribution for theme day is a life size wooden soldier I saw at Quincy Market at Christmastime.

A rather wet and cold looking day in Boston; I prefer the sun.

A large Nutcracker soldier. We have a very small collection of these which appear only at Christmastime, but none so large as this one.

An upright choice for WOOD TD.
Love the angle of the shot -- he's definitely got his eye on you.

Cool that you combined your two themes for today so successfully. This is also just a great photo composition, period! I love seeing the building and the people in the background. The wet paving and puddle reflection is a cool aspect of your shot, too. Nice theme post,
