But in this case, they just don't get me down. Superb photo.

The wet ground really adds a nice element to this picture. It's really good.

Mor than right - beautiful photo!

A wet and miserable day well caught. We all do it, but why do we walk in the rain with our heads down? We still get wet.

With open eyes you can find beauty everywhere. A great capture filled with fellings...Rain, wet, cold, but still hopefull, the architecture of the building catches your eye and the raindraind streets creates a intresting pattern :)

Rainy mondays should always be in monochrome.

This is such an excellent composition. Your use of light, your choice of focus, the sense of movement toward the building. Truly great shot.

Nice shot, perfect for monochrome. The building with the rounded corner facade is very handsome. What am I looking at?

What a beautiful shot! It's raining here too.

Pray tell, where was this photo taken? I was thinking near the Prudential, but I don't see the tower, so I think I've guessed incorrectly.

You have been posting Wednesday Doorways for a very long time. Is there a host for this meme where other similar posts can be found and readers can be directed?

Gorgeous shot - commuters making their way to South Station, right?

slim February 15, 2010 10:49 AM

It's hard to believe that South Station, pictured here, was once the largest train station in the world . . . but that was over 100 years ago. This image is timeless and gorgeous in monochrome. Everything works here and keeps my eye in the picture. The wet paving stones with the shadow of South Station really puts this one over the top for me.

An interesting take on ancient and modern
architecture! Yes, the rain adds an interesting
surface for reflections and shadows!

There's an old song saying " Tell why I don't like mondays.."
But I like the beautyful mood of this picture!

As always, an excellent image.

To what shall I compare this life of ours?
Even before I can say it is like a lightning flash or a dewdrop,
it is no more. -Gibon Sengai (1750-1837)
