Help! There's an alligator chasing me

At Fenway Park today, during a minor league game between the Red Sox AA Lowell Spinners and the Tampa Bay AA Hudson Valley Renegades, an alligator chased this little girl around the base paths. The little girl won the race and reached home before the 'gator. For the record, the Spinners won it in the 12th inning.

Fenway Park Under Con$truction

Fenway Park recently announced a 9% average increase in ticket prices, all but the lowest and highest priced tickets will increase. Lower bleacher seats will cost $26 and grandstand seats will cost $50. The team says increases are to pay for player salaries and improvements at the ballpark -- I guess they don't take any salaries. Green Monster tickets will set you back $140; if you are coming to Boston next year and plan on going to Fenway, check out ticket prices here.

In the picture above you can see a construction crane in use at Fenway.

Street Medallion

I noticed this on the sidewalk and walked past it. I stopped and did a double-take, literally. I realized if I didn't go back and take a picture I would regret it and never be able to find it again. Street medallions generally go unnoticed by most of us, but some can be quite artistic and even colorful.

I did a search on the name and all I could find were links to Fenway Park. It appears that this was a construction company and was involved in a 1934 renovation at Fenway Park. I'm sure if I went to the library and did some old fashioned research I might be able to find more information. Does anyone recognize the name?

Fenway Park

I caught these two security guys at Fenway standing alone and silhouetted against the sky. They were alone in the picture for just a few seconds, but I got the shot I wanted.

Fenway Park Double-header

Minor league baseball double-header at Fenway on Saturday featured the Lowell Spinners, the Red Sox' short-season Single-A affiliate, and the the Portland Sea Dogs, Boston's Double-A farm club. Lowell played the Hudson Valley Renegades (Tampa Bay organization) and won in the bottom of the 9th inning 2-1. Portland and the Harrisburg Senators (Washington organization) followed in a match-up of Eastern League teams. Portland won in a wild one coming from two runs behind in the bottom of the 9th to win 12-11.

Here are some more pictures from today's games.
