Fanueil Hall Busker II

Seen yesterday at Fanueil Hall in front of the Samuel Adams statue. Fanueil Hall seems to be a popular place for street performers, here is a living statue seen last year, also at Fanueil Hall.

Fanueil Hall, Interior

It's hard to believe, but this is Fanueil Hall on a weekday. On warmer days this place is extremely crowded, but on a cold February day it offers a little warmth on a lunchtime stroll.

Fanueil Hall

A warmish late winter day near Fanueil Hall. The temperatures were in the mid- to upper 40s (about 10C). Not generally warm enough to be out without a jacket, but a pleasant change in recent temperatures.

New England Holocaust Memorial

Located near Fanueil Hall, the six glass towers of the memorial represents the six major nazi death camps (Belzec, Auschwitz- Birkenau, Sobibor, Majdanek, Treblinka, and Chelmno). Each tower is made out of plates of glass that are etched with white numbers, which represent the registration numbers of the six million victims.

Quincy Market

This is a shot of Quincy Market at Fanueil Hall. You can make out the sign for Durgin Park which is a famous Boston restaurant, noted for its surly wait staff, but you can get a good meal there. This area is a tourist destination and usually very crowded, with lots of things going on for the kids and plenty of places to drop a wad of cash in some of the trendy stores. The night life is noted for the twenty- and thirty-something crowds it attracts.
