City Hall

here. Even though I find the building ugly, and have said so many times, I still seem drawn to it as a subject. Of course, part of the reason may be, it is so massive it is impossible to overlook.

Ugliest Building in the world

I've known for a long time Boston City Hall was the ugliest building in Boston, but now Virtual Tourist ranks City Hall as one of the ugliest buildings in the world.

October Theme Day

Theme Day for the month of October is "Lines." My interpretation is of the lines in a building, both architecturally and in the texture of the materials used in its construction. This is the Hurley Building and is a genuinely ugly building, only surpassed by Boston City Hall.

A big monstrosity

The mayor recently considered putting City Hall up for sale. His plan was to use money from the sale to purchase land and build a new city hall elsewhere. I hope if that ever happens the city picks a non-winning architectural design. It couldn't be worse than what we currently have. Could it?
