Theme Day: Waiting

First of the month is theme day for the City Daily Photo Blog (CDPB) Community. Click here to view thumbnails for all participants.

My interpretation of waiting is the statue of noted children's author Theodore Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss. I imagine him here in this pose waiting for inspiration to write more clever rhymes.

"Waiting" is a rich theme. And your first picture is beautyful! I like all the little details of the statue: the hair, the bear, the hands..are perfectly made;He seems so near life!..

How clever indeed. Have you had the chance to read his book 'Oh, The Places you'll Go'? It's all about waiting for things to happen in your life.

I bet he has been waiting there for some time.

Think of all the children 'waiting' to discover him and his marvelous way with words. This is an excellent interpretation of 'waiting'.

excellent composition for theme day. as always, well done. I always envisioned Dr. Seuss as being rather active and frenetic to come up with his rhymes and stories and illustrations. I did not think of him being contemplative.

An inspiring picture!

Lovely shot of Dr. Seuss waiting for eternity...wondering 'bout eternity."(Bruce Cockburn lyrics)"..

You may be right, but he could also be meditating on how he's going to spend all of his money before he dies!

Great shot, as usual!

He does look like he's waiting! From this angle, it seems that he's wearing sunglasses. He's maybe waiting for the summer!
