Baseball

While the rest of the world is watching the World Cup, we in the States are (mostly) watching baseball. An excited fan at last night's Pawtucket Red Sox game, which they lost 1-0 to the Syracuse Chiefs.

Ouch. Sorry they lost. But what a great photo. Pawtucket's a bit far afield for Clueless in Boston, isn't it?

And now Spain has won the World Cup.

Great picture. Even if we did lose...at least we didn't lose to you know who.

While I admit to watching most of the World Cup games my attention has returned to baseball. The Texas Rangers are about to lose to the Orioles. I have attended a few big league baseball games and enjoyed them, but what most of us really enjoy are the minor league games. Lets hear it for the Pawtucket Red Sox and the Tulsa Drillers. Nice park, cold drinks and good hot dogs - can't beat it.

Thank God the world cup is over, now I don't have to hear those annoying horns anymore! lol
Great photo of the Red Sox fan. I gotta tell you, though, you had me doing some research of Pawtucket Red Sox....I found them!....The minor league growing up some major league players! Nice. I've been trying to get to a Boston Red Sox game for the past 3 years now. Hopefully next year.

Not a game I have ever got on with, but you've caught the atmosphere in this one.
