When we had a holiday in Boston and a couple in New York I found myself fascinated with the fire-escapes. Took a lot of shots. There's even a group for them in Flickr.
This image has all sorts of interest, Clueless. Love the two brick colors in the adjoining buildings, the shadows from the fire escapes, the torn Bruins banner and, of course, the contrast with that wonderful advertisement. Nicely done.

That is really interesting! I quite like the exterior fire escapes, something we don't seem to see in the UK.
