Karsh Exhibit at the MFA

This is the only shot I got at the Karsh Exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts on Saturday before being told I couldn't take pictures. The exhibit runs until January 19th; you can view a slide show of the exhibit at Time.com.

You should have tried to tell them that it is actually your exhibition :) Of course, you should keep a serious face during that. Anyway, thanks for the link to Time slideshow, I am glad for discovering Yousuf Karsh. Thanks!

Oh that is a great shot, though sad that the gallery was a bit stuffy about it. You've captured the atmosphere really well :)

I hate it when they don't let you take pictures of wonderful things, glad you got this amazing shot before they found out.

Too bad they wouldn't let you take photos. This one you managed to snap is a really nice one!

Nice photo, I took a few photos at the MFA about 35 years ago of a Copley exhibit I was stopped and told that it was for security reasons. Like you I was allowed to keep the photos I had taken.

I also took a few shots inside the Gardiner and was not stopped.

It is a shame they wouldn't let you take photos, but at the same time that makes this shot all the more interesting. Karsh would have liked it!

I hate it when that happens ... yet, I don't like people photographing my work either. So, what's fair for one is fair for all, eh?
