Night baseball at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, R.I. The night I was there the Paw Sox were hammered by the division leading Scranton Yankees 14-1.
The black line you see in the middle of the picture is a seam of the netting behind home plate to prevent accidents from foul balls.

This is a really wonderful shot. The color is magical. You capture the mood of the night game beautifully. And the netting softens the picture in such a tender way. You're down in my older daughter's neck of the woods when you're in Pawtucket.

I don't think I've ever heard of the Paw Sox or the Scranton Yankees, but we only get the major league games here so I'm not surprised.
It's always those damn Yankees.
Baseball must be an interesting sport! But here in Brazil it is virtually unknown...

A Great American Photo. I love baseball but I've only been to one minor league game - saw the Des Moines Cubs when I was in town on business. This is a nice illustration of the charm of these venues. The family happened to go to the Cardinals - Royals game today and there was nothing of this intimate beauty.
